Status produce is starting to grow an exciting new variety of tomato for inclusion in its Beekist tomato range ready to hit the supermarkets for Christmas.

Status growers travel the world every year, tasting tomatoes and sourcing seed for varieties that deliver what the consumers are looking for – flavour so when we came across the new Angel tomato we knew we onto something special.

Beekist’s new angel tomato is a date shaped mini plum tomato which is bite sized and ready to eat. The flavour is deliciously sweet and is firm to the touch, yet incredibly juicy to eat. Small snack sized tomatoes are increasing in population due to their convenience for kids lunches, low acidity and visual appeal in salads etc. 

Angels have a deep red colour and with their low acidic, sweet taste will quickly become a staple on your shopping list. Look out for the Angel tomatoes in store from December. Beekist tomatoes are sold exclusively through Foodstuffs outlets of New World, PAK’ nSAVE and 4-square.
